His work is very bold and stands out to. He uses bright colors and interesting messages that will catch anyones attention. This is why he has landed the top companies I listed above. His work almost yells at you to look at it. Here is his “reel” putting his work in motion. So far based on his website and little research I have done he has not done much since 2007. I used Sony Vegas on my PC to make this video. It was the first time I used it and it had exported weird and that is why the person is at the top of the screen and not in the middle where he is suppose to be. Hopefully it still works and adds to the oddness of the clip.

Gestalt Bling
I choose cell phones as a form of bling because now its all about what kind of phone you have. The better the phone it seems, the more BLING you have. I went with black and white to keep it simple and to show that all cell phones are the same and they do the same thing, make phone calls.
Project 1 – Rise Above Weezy
This is a link to my poster for Project 1. Our group did a campaign on music stereotypes called Rise Above. Now my poster rasied a lot of questions, like what does this even mean? What stereotype is this suggesting or implying? Well my original point to be made in the poster is that when you see Lil Wayne, you think hardcore, gangster, all rap and nothing else. If you are up to date on music and what is coming out, then you would know Lil Wayne has begun to cross into the Rock genre. Songs like Prom Queen and Hot Revolver have come out showing that he can in fact make rock music. The quote came from an interview with MTV on him crossing over into Rock.
The non-implied meaning of the poster that I like much more was the meaning of “i dont want to be the best rapper in the world” meaning that most if not all want to be. That is a stereotype of rappers and Lil Wayne saying that is breaking the stereotype. Even though I did not even think about that, I like that much better than what I was going for. I think that both work well, the point was to show a person you would think is one dimensional and show his other side that you would not guess or see.
Awesome site to make the “OBAMAICON”
Im a pretty big Rockies fan and found a site that takes any picture you upload and make it look like the famous Obama “Hope” posters we all saw this past election year. You can check it out here. I did however opened this in Illustrator and did a Live Trace to make it a Vector graphic, that way I was able to make it any size I wanted and helped smooth out the edges.
